Hi, According to old maps, Dallas appears to have been located on the Tensas River (perhaps a ferry point) about 5 miles to the southeast of the town of Waverly. It does not appear on recent maps. The GNIS database of the USGS lists this place (both post office and populated place) as "historical." There is a little town of Tendal (part Tensas and part Dallas???) located near this spot. Here is a link that has a map which might help. I looked at one of the maps in the late 1800s. http://alabamamaps.ua.edu/historicalmaps/louisiana/ Happy hunting, Dale Thompson Notify Administrator about this message?
