NOT RELATED

June: I find no GreenWOOD Cemetery in Hammond but there is a GreenLAWN Cemetery there and that is where Ercell is buried. I believe that your observation as to daughter Avarie having married is correct. Unfortunately, Murphy's Law has kicked-in when it comes to your quest. Ercell's obituary appeared in the "Livingston Parish News", 8 October 2009. It mentions, but not by name, a daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. However, it does mention by name her "former husband Jersse Holland Grice" and a brother named Orban Grice. There are 3 "O. Grice" individuals listed in the White Pages for Louisiana and one of them does live in Baton Rouge, very close to Denham Springs. You can always try calling, all the person can do is hang up on you. Alternatively, you might want to contact the funeral home which handled the arrangements. According to the obit it was Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Here is a link to their website:

I would imagine that either her daughter, Avarie, or brother, Orban, made the arrangements so Seale's may have contact information since this was only a year ago. I hope something in this helps. Rick
