Does any one know of a genealogy book that has been put together about this man and his descendants? If so, please advise me as I am about to undertake this objective.
John Pesnell b. abt 1760 d. bef 1850 in Benton Co, AL
Sarah Cunningham or Daniel b. abt 1765 d. bef 1860.
Known children;
John Michael Pesnell b. abt 1800
William Henry pesnell b abt 1803 - d. 6/26/1872
Sarah Pesnell b abt 1810
Elizabeth b. unk

John's wife was taken prisioner by the Creek Nation of Indians, stole tools, furniture, cloths, beds, saddles & etc on the fifth day of May, 1793 off the waters of the Ohoopee in the county of Franklin, GA. This was sworn to before Jermiah McDaniel J.P.
John was reimbursed $150 cash for the ransom of his wife and $43.33 for tools and $196.66 for his other losses by the State of Georgia. Information from GA Dept of Archives and History.
