I would like to direct anyone doing Patton research to the Patton Genealogy Forum. David V. Agricola, M.D. has done extensive Patton research and has written the Patton Compendium. He has begun a Patton surname DNA project. Dr. Agricola explains that most Pattons are of Scots origin with most coming into Ulster-Ireland from southwest Scotland. This DNA project would sort out Patton family lines.
