There is an Allen Davis who served as a witness to my ggg-grandfather Levi Brass's civil war pension fund application in 1890. They were living in Franklin Parish in a town called Holly Grove. But they were living in Catahoula Parish before slavery ended. There is a large Davis family in Catahoula and I believe some of them moved to Franklin. If you feel there is a connection, write back and i can give you what I have. Thanks Leon
