Trying to determine if the old trail from Rapides (Alex) to Natchez, MS is also known as Nolan's Trace? (Seems to follow present day US 84 and LA 28, south of Catahoula Lake.) The trail from Rapides to Burr Ferry has that name. Philip Nolan lived in Natchez for a period of time and made at least 4 trips to TX across LA.
