If you had Allbritton, McGuffee, Poole, Cassels, Price, Zeagler, Lutrick, Dunlap, Meyers, Beasley, Tidwell, Arbuthnot, Johnson, DeLaughter, Matthews, or Hill family in Catahoula and La Salle Parishes in late 1800's, you will want to know about the annual Spring Ridge Church Memorial Day the first Sunday in May (this year - May 6). This special day recognizes these family lines that organized this church in 1873 located near Aimwell. Day's activities include memorial church service, recognition of families, old fashioned dinner on the grounds, and plenty of time for conversation and meeting kin.
