The Phillippeau family lived in what is now called the "Old Trading Post" and the house is still standing, but part of a bank today. The walls are 18" thick. There is a probate at the courthouse which gives a good description of the layout of the property and buildings. It was once a bakery, among other things. The building is, I think, on the National Register of Historic Places and if not the oldest, then second oldest in Thibodaux, dating back to early 1800's.
