Mary,
I don't know if I have George Washington Owen in my family history. I am trying to find info about my g-grandmother (E.E. Owen Trichel). I am desperately searching for her parents. I just discovered the name was Owen, not Owens, and that she was married in 1866 "at home" in Douglas, LA. At the time Douglas was in Jackson Parish but that area became part of Lincoln Par. in 1873. I don't think Douglas still exists. If anyone reading this has any info on an Owen family there, I would definitely appreciate hearing from you and would be happy to trade info...if I had any!
