Embry, Cook, Walsworth, McLeroy families 1850-1900

Still researching the Embry families that lived in and around Jonesboro, Jackson Parish ca 1850-1900.
Was able to locate some information. Still looking for the parents of the following persons, Jesse, John and Thomas. Any help much appreciated.

Jesse M Embry, b 1830 Ala, living in Vienna was married to Cynthia. Served in Gray's 28th during Civil War. Jesse was murdered by his freedman 1866. They had children
1-Wm.R Embry bn 1856,
2-Samuel E Embry, b 1857, married Katherine bn 1860 Kentucky.
Samuel went to medical school in Louisville Kentucky and opened practice in Chicago, Illinois. He died in Chicago Dec 27, 1939.
3-Jessie M. Embry, b 1865
4-Cora Embry, bn 1866, not found on 1870 census (died?)

John M. Embry, b ca 1826 in Ala., served in Gray's 28th, lived in Vienna. Was married to Sophia Manney, bn 1826 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., daughter of Richard Manney and Garetta Hermance.
John and Sophia had son Columbus Embry called Charles.
The family moved to Poughkeepsie after the Civil War, and John died there on March 9th 1894.

Thomas N Embry also served in Gray's 28. Married in spring of 1854 in Jackson Parish to Mary Sherrard of Talbot County, Georgia, sister of A.J. Sherrard
Thomas died June 16, 1863 while a soldier of dysentry.
Mary moved to Trinty County, Texas in 1878. She filed for Confederates Pension on her husband's service in 1899. Witnesses on her behalf were Wm. T. Wright, John L. Sanderson and A.J. Sherrard.
