Hi,
I have a very old photo, the type that has the cardboard backing. On the back it says "school Group of Womack of long ago". It was among the old photos that my grandma gave me. The photo is somewhat faded, but anyway, it is a group of students all standing together for a group photo. I don't know who any of these persons are in this photo but it looks to be taken as early as 1900-1920 or there about, possibly even before 1900. I don't have a history of this school and would like to know more about it, also would be willing to email a copy of this photo to anyone who is interested.
I do know that at one time, at least in the very early 1900's, there was a Methodist Church at Womack, also a station/grocery store, a saw mill and a train station and a school. There were several families who lived in the Womack community, most were related to the Womack family. If you have knowledge of the Womack community of this school I'd like further information.
Thanks,
Penny Myers
