Shawn, As far as I know, the papers that far back were destroyed by fire in 1928, but I have found where LSU has some Prior to 1928 on microfilm, but I have not had time to check into the matter. You may check the Ouachita Parish archive site on usgenweb. If you go to the site, click on the obit section. There are some stories in the Monroe papers that were picked up from the Franklin Sun.
