My name is Alison Duffy and I'm researching my Waller family. My g.g.g.grandmother S.M.R. Waller born 1810 in Louisiana was born in Trinity (Catahoula Parish)across the river from Natchez. I cannot find her parents but found a reference to Trinity which is near Jonesboro, LA. She married Mathias (Michael)Zenor who came from KY to LA and MS area. They had a son, George G. Zenor born abt. 1833 in MS. He and S.M.R. (Waller) Zenor and Mathias Zenor frmed in Louisiana.(Concordia Parish) I found a reference to Mathias (Michae) Zenor in an 1820 census. I do not know what S.M.R. stands for but she may have been a sister of Layfayette or James or William Waller. S.M/R. and Michael moved to St amry Parish where they raised sugar cane with their children and other related families, Robbins, Bateman, Sanders, De Gravelle, Fleurot, Do you have any information regarding Sarah Gilbert's husband's family? I/m wondering if there is a connection.
