Thank you, Rosie, for your responding to my query.

My ancestor who married at Mt. Carmel Church in Pine Prairie, Louisiana, was Flournoy Hebert. On January 2, 1871 he married Celestine Deville, who was the widow of John David Clark. She was the daughter of Louis Deville and Celine B. Johnson. This was one of several marriages of Flournoy Hebert, who was my GGGrandfather.

I have read about Rev. Donald Hebert's publications, and I know they would be very helpful to me in my research. I live in Mississippi, and unfortunately, the Mississippi Archives and History Library does not have these books. I am going to have to make a few trips to the research library in Baton Rouge in order to do an in- depth search of my family. I am researching the Hebert and Johnson Families of Evangeline Parish.

Thanks so much for the information you have given. It is appreciated.

Sandra
