Murdock McQueen of EFP, Jackson LA

I am researching Murdock McQueen, born 1825, who buried in the McQueen Family Cementary in Jackson, Louisiana. His wife was named Elizabeth. He had sons named Robert, Louis, Scott and Norman. He had two daughters named Maggie and Lydia. He may have had more children. He died in 1902. Who were his parents and where were they from? Was it Scotland? Family legend says it was the "old country" aka Scotland. There is a Murdock and John McQueen mentioned in the 1820 LA census and in the 1870 LA census in East Feliciana Parish. The Murdock of 1820 couldn't be the same, if my Murdock was born in 1825! Does anyone have any ideas?
