James L. Cobb, father of Falby, didn't died in 1830 in LA. He died probably in Santa Rosa Co., FL. after 1850. He was living with his son Joseph in 1850 and was listed as being 85 years old. James had a brother Ezekiel Cobb also in Santa Rosa Co., FL. He died abt. 1835 there. James had a brother Daniel Cobb who died at Clinton LA. in abt. 1815, a brother Jacob Cobb who died in abt. 1818 in St. Helena Parish, LA. and a sister Mary Cobb Grubbs believed to have died at Clinton, LA. aft. 1820 and a brother Nathaniel Cobb
who was married to Floria Fee in GA. of Hatchersville, EFP, LA.
James's dau. Falby and Mary Grubbs's dau Falby are often mixed up because Falby Grubbs married a Ezekiel Cobb in GA.
Falby Grubbs Cobb came to Clinton, LA. after the others and either was divorced or widowed. She was widowed twice more and her 4th. marriage was to William Spence of old Pike Co., MS., now Walthall. James had a couple more brothers and sisters.
