A Jesse Sims is listed in AMERICAN STATE PAPERS as settler "on land in that part of Louisiana which lies east of the Mississippi River.......and west of Pearl River". Date of settlement, (by purchase) February 1810. He was on the same page as Isham, Cornelius and John Carr, and also Peter Sandifer.

I am a Carr/Sandifer descendant. The Carrs and Peter Sandifer went to Louisiana from Barnwell County, SC.

Included in Isham Carr's Feleciana, LA probate, Jose Sims purchased a bedstead at the estate sale in 1816 for three dollars.

Do you know who were the parents of Delvia A. Carr who married Daniel James Sims, b. March 16, 1815, or where Daniel and Delvia Sim can be found on the 1850 census? In your Feliciana research, have you come across any other information regarding Sandifers (many different spellings) or Carrs?

Any help will be very much appreciated. You may contact me off forum if you want to.
