Charles Langham and his brother John Langham moved to East Carroll Parish from Wilcox, AL, Charles Langham moved with his first wife Ellen (married feb. 1871). She and their son died of yellow fever in I878 there in East Carroll. I have never found where they were buried but they were from the Goodrich area or Illawara. I have no information on the ages of Ellen or the son that died. Ellen had a baby in 1878 before she died. His name was Percy Langham. He is in the 1880 census with Charles Langham but disappears. Nothing else is ever found about him. Someone in the family (long deceased) said there were 3 children. I have only found mention of two. John Langham probably came over about the same time as his brother Charles Langham. I found him in the 1900 census in Flordia. The 1900 census records claim he was married in 1888 however I feel there might be a possibility he was married before and possibly living in East Carroll with first wife.
In 1898 Charles is in Texas with his business partner B.J. Dantlzer. I assumed they met in East Carroll Parish because I found mention of his brother R.W. Dantzler being there and a Texas newspaper said they were business partners before moving to Texas . Another newspaper article says R.W. Dantzler was behind the counters of McRaes in Nov. 1890. As family tales go, R.W. Dantzler was killed but not sure when, where or how. But he never made it to Texas. His mother listed him as dead in 1900.
Looking for any information on these people: John Langham, Charles Langham, Percy Langham (b. 1878) Bennett (B.J.) Dantzler and Robert (R.W.) Dantzler.
Thanks for any help given
