Dear JD--I came across this info in the EBR 1850 census while looking for my own Hunt relatives:
798
O.C. Vanlandingham 61 M Farmer 27,500 Va.
Ezekiel 32 M Farmer KY.
Elizabeth 12 F Illinois
Mary 9 F Illinois
Cordelia 7 F Illinois
John Meeds 22 M Laborer Europe
This census lists head of household, those living with him, age, sex, occupation (if any) and place of birth. I believe the number after occupation means value of assets, but it may mean land acres owned. This is from a free site: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/la/e-batonrouge/census/1850.txt.
