I am researching my family in the Zachary-East Baton Rouge area, c. 1850, for surnames of Hunt, Zachary, Hubbs, Neville and McHugh. An elderly relative listed my ggrandmother as Emily Hubbs Hunt, daughter of Edward M. Hubbs and Ellen Neville (daughter of James Neville and Jane McHugh). I know that your site lists Jane as being married only to Wm. Shaw, and yet an 1850 census lists Jane living with Wm. Shaw and five young Hubbs children (including Emily and a 2-month old baby), her mother, and sister. Could Shaw be a second marriage? I can find no record of Edward Hubbs, although his father Charles is documented. Can you shed some light on this mystery? Thanks, Pam Reznick
