Grove Hill Cemetery "Homecoming" Sat. June 7, 2003

The Grove Hill Cemetery "Homecoming" will be held on the grounds of the Grove Hill / Twin Churches Cemetery Property on the First Saturday in June, June 7th, 2003 beginning about 10-ish in the A.M. A meeting in the old Baptist Church is usually held prior to the Pot-Luck-Lunch on the Grounds. We last attended two years ago and there were about 50 - 75 in attendance.

There was a book published in 1972 in Shreveport, LA by the Ark-La-Tex Genealogical Society that contained 101 pages of info on the history of this cemetery and those buried there. I have a copy of a copy of that book. I hope to index it someday and save it to CD.

Other details of this Cemetery Homecoming should be available at the Mansfield Public Library. This cemetery is south of the Mansfield Battleground on the Road to Pleasant Hill on the east side of the road. There is a "dusty" dirt road that goes eastward to the Cemetery.

We hope to be there this year.
