I have researched my g g grandfather Duke W. Mullins back to where he was born in Claiborne Parish August 19, 1832. A family Bible said that is where he was born, it was also stated on his enlistment papers in the Civil War, and it is where he married Feb 12, 1855. I am trying to connect him as the son of James Wilson Mullins. I feel it is a good connection.

In the 1830 census James Wilson Mullins or James W. Mullins and your ancestor Willis Mullins were the only two Mullins families in Claiborne Parish. In the census they were on the same page with only three names between them. I take it that they lived close to each other. I am curious if they were related.

I would love to share information. I have all the information on Duke. I would like to hear from you. My email is jew3373@gateway.net.
