Newt Wallace- Husband of Fannie Butler
Posted by: Phillip Bowen (ID *****1119) Date: August 05, 2011 at 13:05:53

I have been doing research for several years, and am at a dead in with my great grandfather Newt (Newton) Wallace. What I have so far is as follows:

Born 18 Feb 1876 in Arkansas, he married Sarah E. Fannie Butler in Claiborne Parish Louisiana, and had four children:

Jane Wallace (Tripplett)
1900 1938
Children unknown

Tom Wallace
1902 1982
No Children

Abb Wallace
1908 1908

Lyman Wallace
1905 1980

Lyman Wallace's Children:
Betty Wallace

Huey Wallace

Therman Wallace

Lyman Ballard Wallace

Marvin Wallace

Mildred Madline Wallace (My grandmother)

Newt died in 1910 and is buried in the Old Athens Cemetery in Claiborne Parish Louisiana, but no specific date is on his tombstone and no one seems to know how he died. I have been unable to track him in the census before he married, and can't find any information about his parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
