Norton Family Slave Records
Posted by: Robert Nicholas (ID *****6199) Date: July 21, 2011 at 13:18:00

Iím looking for the slave records of the Norton family from Claiborne Parish. I know there was a slave named Lem and his wives name was Mariah. Iím trying to track down this family and am hoping someone in Clairborne might be able to assists me. William Adolphus Norton was believed to be the father of Lem Norton. I know they lived in an around Homer Louisiana.

I'm also interested in any Land records, Probates, Wills, Tax records, Naturalization Records, or any entries in any Paris birth or death registers, funeral home records, burial records and more.

Thank you

Rob
