Found in 1860 Claiborne Parish, Lisbon P.O. census listed in the household of W.D. Mullins. I don't know if this was an error, or if the Smith family really was living in the Mullins' house. Anyway:
W.D. Mullins, age 27, b. LA, farmer
D.E. Mullins, wife, age 20, b. AL
J.W., age 2
A. Q., age 8 mos.
C.M.Smith, age 58, farmer, b. SC
N.H.B. Smith, age 43, b. GA
M.E., female, age 18, b. MS
Victory, female, age 16, b. MS
E.P., male, age 15, b. MS
Josephine, female, age 13, b. MS
L., female, age 11, b. LA
W.E., male, age 10, b. LA
J.B., male, age 9, b. LA
N.T., male, age 7, b. LA
T., female, age 2, b. LA
From the birthdates, it appears the Smiths moved to LA from MS between 1847 and 1849. And if D.E. Mullins was a Smith daughter, they apparently were in AL about 1840 when she was born.
