Hi List,
Can anyone tell me the name of the Whatley male that married Mary Stewart, sometime before 1864?
Mary Stewart was the d/o James I. Stewart and Elizabeth Ingram, and she was b. abt. 1842 in GA or AL. I don't know if the Whatley/Stewart marriage took place in LA or AL. In 1870, Mary is listed in Athens, Claiborne Parish, LA as M.N. Whatley, widow, along with her 6 y/o son James Whatley in the HH. They are living next door to Mary's parents for this census. Mary Stewart Whatley remarries in Dec. 1870 to George Hebron, in Claiborne Parish
