SUSAN PRICE was born about 1846 in Homer,Claiborne Parrish, Louisianna to JOSIAH PRICE MD. & MARY ?? I am just beginning to give life to "SUSAN"- She married THOMAS HART BENTON March,1866 in Van Zandt Texas and they had 6 children.One of those was JESSE NEWTON BENTON, he was my grandmoms dad.He married MARTHA ALICE JONES - daughter of STEPHEN JONES & MARTHA BIBLE- (KNOX,TN & BURNET,TX.).They lived and raised their family in BURNET,TEXAS,He, a school teacher, Martha the mother of three children: INEZ, HOWARD,& LORENE.INEZ is the fabric that held our family together thruout her entire life.I would like to write a tribute to our "Nanny".ANY information, stories or advice would be ever to greatly appreciated!! She had six daughters and raised countless grand and great grandchildren.She moved to Philadelphia,Pa.& Bucks,County,Pa. around 1936 but her heart always remained in Texas. She was our "Yellow Rose Of Texas". Thank You, Samantha
