Ed, I suspect Creed Thompson to be a brother to my 3rd g-grandmother, Judith Thompson Bridgeman. Do you have record of his siblings? I don't see Judith listed in John Thompson's 1822 will in Virginia. But she married in 1820 and by that time had removed with her husband to S.C. en route to Alabama.

She died in Claiborne parish in the summer of 1872. Several of her children had come to Claiborne in the mid 1850s.

Where did Creed Thompson go after 1837? Was he in Arkansas near Claiborne parish? Do you know whether Judith Bridgeman was his sister?

Thanks for any help you may be able to give.
