Thank you, Ed. I realize now I was pointing out to you what was already obvious to a seasoned geneologist (which I am not), I hope I did not offend...
I was very excited to discover the Claiborne Co. forum and the first message I read was yours and there was a reference to Atkins! I was very excited.
Thank you for your offer to help, unfortunately I only have a few things on my GGGF. I only know he was John T. Adkins, born in New Orleans in 1845. Was married to Mercelia Agnes Engle. Moved to California and had 4 children beginning in 1870. I have no sibling info, but I suspect I have some family in the Adkins cemetary. Any insights you may offer would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Kevin
