I found Jacob Durst on the 1850 Claiborne Parish census. He was married to my great grandmother, Elizabeth B. High, in Bossier Parish in 1855. After his death, Elizabeth married my great grandfather in Texas. At the time she married him, he was known as Alexander Jones, but he also was from Claiborne Parish. He was born Robert Pair, later changing his name to Jones. Any information on any of these individuals would be appreciated.
