I might have some good news for you! I recently purchased the book, The Seigler/Zeigler Family Originating in South Carolina by Margaret Bryant Diacetis. This is a huge(almost 800 pgs.) book and has lots of Zeagler's in it too. On pg. 65 is a Alzada Zeagler, born 1876, to I.E.Zeagler. I.E. was born in 1850 and married Elizabeth in 1875. It doesn't give Elizabeth's maiden name or place of birth. Her is 1859. I.E. is the son of Simpson Zeagler, born in 1801, married Saena(born 1808). They lived in Orangeburg Dist.SC and then Catahoula Parish,La. Simpson was the second son of John Zeagler and Sara Lavica. My husband's connection is from the first son,Joseph Zeagler.
This book is a must have. It will give you the Zeaglers back to their first arrival in SC from Germany. Email me for details on purchasing if you want, or more info if I can provide it.
I hope I haven't confused you cousin. It gets pretty complicated!
