There are some Rawls in West Monroe, La. I do not know them personally but they are in the background of the family tree I am doing on the Mayfields. You might try posting on the Ouachita Parish message board. That is the parish for West Monroe and it is not very far from Catahoula Parish. The oldest one I have listed is Charlie Rawls dob Oct. 11-1880 but I don't know anything any farther back than that.
