Jessie Cooper lived in Harrisonburg and died in the 19080's. Jessie was married to a woman named Elaine. Not sure if she is still living. Jessie was my Dad's first cousin. He had a son named Milton Cooper (named after Jessie's father) born about 1960's prob. 65 or after. He attended Harrisonburg Elem. and or High School. We lost track of them after Jessie died. I did not attend the Meyers Blaney reunion but have done extensive research esp. on the Meyers side. Kippy Blaney and I correspond about the family history. He says Armintha Dear's 1st husband was John Silas Blaney and has a marriage date of 1879? Doris Meyers Watson's mother, Mamie Hughes Meyers, told me that Amrninthia found out the Cooper man was actually married to someone else when he was married to her. Said she slept with a gun under her pillow to keep him from coming back and getting the child. Arminithia married my great grandfather on 21 July 1891 in Avoylles Parish. I have a copy of their marriage license. I would love to share information with you.
