Hi!
Thanks so much for the info! I have found various records for Nelson Newman in MS & LA. I found the record for the Nelson living in Harrison Co., MS in 1850. There is also a Nelson Newman living in Jefferson Co., MS in 1860. The head of the house is an Alexander Newman. Also a record of Nelson Newman serving in the Civil War from Jefferson Co., MS. I have been trying to match them to my Nelson----listed below is what I know for sure about my Nelson Newman. Again, thanks for you help!
