I'm searching for information about Reuben Joseph Valentine (or Volentine), the youngest known child of my 3G-grandparents, Reuben J. Valentine and Mary Ann Olds. Known so far:
1. Reuben Joseph was born 11 Oct 1870 in Catahoula Parish LA.
2. He married Martha Josephine (Mattie) Valentine on 1 Sep 1897 in Catahoula Parish LA. Mattie was his first cousin, the daughter of William Henry Valentine and Julia Ann Hagan born on 11 Feb 1876 in Catahoula Parish.
3. I have no information about children born to this marriage.
4. Mattie is listed in her mother's 1921 obituary as living in Lotus, OK. I've found Reuben and Mattie listed in a 1930 census index for Caddo Parish LA, but I don't have access to the actual census record.
5. Mattie died on 21 Jan 1931, possibly in Shreveport, Caddo Parish LA. Reuben died on 3 Apr 1943 in Shreveport. I don't know where either of them are buried.
Any information or leads about Reuben and Mattie and their family would be appreciated.
