Looiking for info on Allen Burkett Carlton Dean and brother George W. Dean who moved to La. in 1854 near Olla. GW died in Colfax and is buried in Friendship Cem. Grant Parish near Fishville. My gggfather, John Marion Dean is found in Claiborne Parish in 1858 when he married Indiana Groom. He was CSA from Claiborne and so was a Burkett Dean. Does anyone know the connection? John Marion named his oldest son, my ggfather William Henry. There was a William in Wilkes Co. Ga. with brother Charles. The 2 bros ABC and GW were sons of Charles. Does anyone know anything about this family? Thanks. pd
