I'm searching for information about John Sapp, who is listed in the Caldwell Parish Jan 1860 probate record of my 3G-grandfather, Richard Banister, as being a cousin and one of the closest male kin (along with George W. Pierce and Claiborne Pierce) of Richard's children, Isabelle (my 2G-grandmother) and Samuel.
I've found a John Sapp listed in the 1850 US census of Caldwell Parish, living at dwelling #251, household #251 in the household of William Jinkins (23 MS) and his wife, Clarinda Jinkins (30 LA); and four Sapp children: John (13 LA), Nancy (11 LA), Catherine (6 LA) and Asa J. (1 LA). I do not yet know if Clarinda Jenkins is the mother of these four Sapp children.
Any information about John Sapp and his possible family connection to Richard Banister and/or Clarinda Jinkins/Jenkins' marriage license record to William Jinkins/Jenkins would be appreciated.
