Book,"Caldwell Parish in Slices" states that after Martha Jarrell died Aug. 23, 1876 Mr. S.H. Jarrelll "moved to Cheneyville where he spent his remaining days, his death occuring in 1878, two years after leaving Caldwell Parish. Some people who once resided in that section of the parish are prone to believe that Mr. Jarrell's body was brought back to Caldwell Parish, but this is doubtful. There is no marker to that effect, and in all probability, he was buried in the Cheneyville community below Alexandria where he is said to have died."
Martha Jarrell "buried in the old Zion Hill Cemetery near Cotton Plant where the family first settled when they came to Caldwell Parish in 1854". Dr. Robert Jarrell came to my Grandmother's home in Monroe many years ago to obtain location of her grave. Thank you, Rebecca
