Cleta,
There is also St. Mary'sResidential Training School,
6715 Hwy 1 North, Alexandria, LA. Phone number (318)445-6443. Not sure what type of handicap your Curtis had, but this may be another place for you to check. There is also the Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, LA. I think it is similar to the Masonic Home. It is run by the Baptist Convention and is still in operation. Don't have an address for them. Maybe this will give you a few more places to search.
