Your best bet is the Calcasieu PARISH library system which has a very nice Southwest Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Library with a collection of records that include a 3x5 card index of marriage announcements and obituaries from the local papers. The librarians will make a copy from the microfilm of the paper for a very reasonable fee if you contact them. They also have microfilm of the parish marriage license application/ license records indexed by both bride and groom. Both of these cover your time period. The URL for the library web site is:

< >.

The phone number for that department of theCarnegie Memorial Library in downtown Lake Charles is: 337-437-3490.
