Slave Holder Ransom Cole

I am looking for information on Ransom Cole who owned slaves in Caddo, La. He owned a slave named Joseph "Joe" Cole b. abt 1850. Ransom moved from Albany and Iles, Caddo Louisiana. Then he moved to Cass Texas in the later months of the year 1850. In 1870 Ransom was living in Bryan Texas with Joe Cole's wife and three children along with his two daughters and son-in-law(John Wood Beckham). Ransom had a brother named Noah Cole who also owned slaves in Caddo. Thier father also owed slaves and he was born in NC and later moved to SC where he met his wife and they were married. Ransom was born there in SC. My husband is a descedant of Joe Cole. I am trying to find his parents and if he had siblings. I was told that Ransom had taken abt. 9 slaves with him to Texas and one of them being Joe. I'm wondering if Joe's parents stayed behind or if they died before, or went to Cass TX. Just can't seem to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
