Govie was the oldest child and that is the only name my husband ever heard her called; if she wasn't too old, she would have gone to training school, not orphanage as only Bonnie and Thomas went to the orphanage.

He thinks that she died while his mother, Doris was still a young girl or young woman. He remembers hearing that she may have gone to jail/prison for killing a man. He doesn't know any of the particulars, tho. Also, she died of Bright's disease. She never married or had children to his knowledge.

That's all I know. Most of the Hales are gone now.
