Patsy: My son, Clifton Cardin who is the Official Bossier Parish Historian, published a book a few years ago of all known Bossier Parish burial and cemetery records. Hillcrest Cemetery in Bossier Parish only gave the dates of interred records (not the dates of birth and death). Listed in the book , which included records up to about September 1990 was James Melvin Powell who was shown as being interred at Hillcrest Cemetery on April 11, 1967. So he probably died a few days before that. Nothing is shown in the book for Mary Emma Hughes Powell who, according to your query died sometimes in the 1990s, which would indicate that she probably died after that date. There are several other Powells listed, tho. You might could get in touch with Hillcrest Cemetery at Haughton, LA. Are there other Powells (who died before September 1990 that you might want me to check the book for? Bobbie
