I am researching Ephraim DICKINSON of NC, Al., & La., & his youngest child, Joel Sebastian "Bass" DICKINSON, of Al. & La. Bass DICKINSON was my paternal 2nd G-GF.

Ephraim DICKINSON & his family migrated from Al. to Bossier Par., La. 1838-1848. One of his daughters married into the HILMAN/HILLMAN family in 1848 in Bossier Par., while another daughter married into the SPRINGFIELD family in 1849 in Bossier Par. Ephraim DICKINSON died in Bossier Par., La. in 1849. According to a family story, Joel's mother [Caroline MILLER DICKINSON] died before he was grown, so she must have died 1838-1854 in Al. or La. One of Ephraim DICKINSON's daughters supposedly married one of the McDade's in Bossier or Caddo Par., La. The DICKINSON, HILMAN/HILLMAN, McDADE, & SPRINGFIELD
families of Bossier Par. lived in Bellevue & Fillmore, according to land records & 1850-1860-1870 Census records.
