Hi Bill. Actually Thomas Bridger's name in the family Bible (copy in my possession) is "E. Thomas Bridger". I have no idea what the "E" stands for. He is the son of Iverson "Ivey" V. Bridger (b. 1826, Twiggs Co.,GA) and Sarah Augustus Elizabeth Grantham (b. 1834, Twiggs Co, GA). My ggdfather, "Ivey" Bridger was the son of Bartlett Bridger from Wayne county, N.C.

Thomas left Georgia in a huff when his father remarried in 1875 and only returned once, according to family lore, in 1917/18 at which time he visited two of his sisters, one being my grandmother.

Thomas and Elsie are listed in Bossier Parish in 1910 (Ward 3, Antium Mills Road, ED # 18, Sheet 6B) and 1920 (Police Jury Ward 2, ED # 22, Sheet 16A). Incidentally in one of these Elsey's name appears to be "Elise Rebeccah"?. They have had 6 children and only one living, a female named "Ray"?

Now, I need to know if "Ray" Bridges/Bridger married and whom and maybe I can find some help from her descendants. It appears Thomas owned a farm in Bossier Parish during the 1910-1920 years, so therefore I also need to visit my local LDS library, I guess.

Anyway, Thanks very, very much.
Barbara
