Shaw's from Ringgold from 1849-1874

My Great Great Grandfather Dr. Hiram Shaw married Mary Elizabeth Burk in Sparta, Louisiana in 1849. They lived with her brother's family (I believe), Jesse Mobley in 1850 census in Bienville Parish. They had several children while living in Ringgold before moving West to Texas. Children were: John, Hiram Burk, Sarah, Milasa, James, Henry, Louisa, Ebbin Flint. Have located most everyone since their arrival in Texas. I have been told one of the children stayed behind in Louisiana. Am looking for any information anyone may have. Dr. Hiram Shaw is credited in the History of Bienville Parish Vol 1 as the person that Slabtown was named after. Are there any birth records on any of these children? Death record on maybe John (not sure he was the one that stayed behind but think may so)?
