Dear Phillip,
Well, we may be able to solve a family puzzle on your end and mine. First, let me give you a few facts that are particularly interesting to both of our inquiries.
One of my great grandparents on my father's side was Walter
Wynn and Hattie Mae Gay Wynn. She was the daughter of John Jackson Gay.(My great great grandfather) Now, we know that he came from Alabama to Louisiana, because he served in the 33rd Alabama during the Civil War, as did his father in law to be Bryant Walters. We have never researched his line
to his parents yet. However, we have researched in vein the parents of Walter Wynn with no luck. We do know from family history of his daughter's(two still living) that he came from Wetumpka,Alabama. Now, would you please, give me her full name again, and all names associated with her in your research. I have extensive Gay information and will cross reference it.
I have never known John Jackson Gay and his family to have come from Wetumpka in particular, BUT,one of his daughter's
(my great grandmother) did marry someone from there!
Maybe, we are on to something! God Bless, Pam
