There are some Poole families who moved from Bibb County, Alabama (1830s) through Mississippi (Attala, Winston, and Noxubee Counties, if I remember correctly for 1850) and came to Bienville Parish before 1860.
David L. Pearce (later of Bell Co., TX) was born about 1832 Bibb Co., AL. His mother was Lucinda Poole. Pearce fought in Brushy Valley Guards (Company H, 9th LA Inf) in Civil War and was a sergeant.

Another family is that of Jason Poole who md. Rebecca Fancher 1832 Bibb, had at least one child born AL but reached MS by 1838. 1840 to 1845 lived in Noxubee Co., MS. Listed on 1850 Winston Co, MS census (page 317a). Had land grants in Attala Co., MS, 1851 and 1854, but also had a patent in Bienville in 1852. He died before 1880. Widow Rebecca still in Bienville 1880 but she is buried in Bell County, TX. I'd bet this is the person you want, because their oldest son on the 1850 census was John, age 16, b. AL.

Also, Middleton Poole md. Mary Anne Fancher 1836 Bibb Co., AL. He was in Noxubee Co 1850, I think. Was in Attala in 1860, later moved on west, I think including Bienville.

Please note: I am not related in any way. I researched these families while writing an article on another family (the Danleys) who moved from Bibb Co., AL to Bienville.
