Yes there are still many many descendants of Joseph Moncla living in Louisiana and Avoyelles area. I am related to his wife Aresne Bordelon. You mentioned two cities Moncla and Montcla. There is actually only one and it probably is just a variation of the spelling. Moncla is more of an area than a city. There is no post office there and it uses the zip/postal code of Marksville, Louisiana. It is near the Red River. What other information can I help you out with?
