Dear Renée:

I live in Napoleonville, LA in Assumption Parish. Carmelite Beres is, indeed, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Henriette LeBlanc but her birthdate is 4 Dec. 1819. She was baptized on 14 Feb. 1820 in Plattenville at the Church of the Assumption.
Joseph and Marie Henriette were married on 25 Jan. 1819 (also in Plattenville).
The entry in Volume 3 of the DIOCESE OF BATON ROUGE CATHOLIC CHURCH RECORDS 1804-1819 is as follows:

Joseph Dominique (Joseph and Anne VIERDIEU, decd.) of Mon Cassin, Dept. of Gere, France m. 25 Jan. 1819 Marie Henrietta Celvin LEBLANC, wid. Joseph Trahan (Silvin, decd. and Marie Joseph BABIN of Ascension Parish) wit: Jean Baptiste Landry; Jean Mollere; Etienne _________ (ASM-7, 39)

You can obtain a certified copy of all baptisms, marriages and burials by writing to DEPT. OF ARCHIVES, DIOCESE OF BATON ROUGE, P. O. BOX 2028 BATON ROUGE 70821

The charge was $5 a few years ago, but has probably gone up.
Glad I could help.

Donald Blanchard
